The story of how Westward Advisors became Canada’s leading provider of insurance-based tax and estate planning solutions is a remarkable one. Started originally as a six person operation in 1997 by president and founding member Rob Darnbrough, Westward Advisors discovered a niche market in insurance-based tax and estate planning strategies. Rob and his team explored a segment of the market that focused on three main components of estate planning; risk management, wealth accumulation and wealth distribution. Westward’s solutions have proven successful for our clients and the result has been a rapid and extraordinary upward progression for our company in an era that has seen many advisory firms downsize or close completely.

Our company’s remarkable growth and expansion has resulted in a number of marked changes to Westward’s corporate structure. Initially, our focus was exclusively localized to the Lower Mainland, but has now increased nationwide. Our firm started originally as a six person team and has now broadened to include a team of 27 highly skilled professionals from diverse and dynamic backgrounds. Our team members have expert knowledge and years of collective experience in the industry.

During tumultuous economic times, we have all watched the economy sapped of its strength and power in a climate where many investors have lost faith in their advisors’ ability to assess risk and provide viable solutions.

Westward Advisors has not been adversely affected by the recession and our signature company logo is a visual symbol illustrating our vitality, versatility and adaptability in the marketplace. We chose an Arc, which symbolizes a guiding compass to show you the way.
